Project Description
The Brief
To celebrate his testimonial year at Manchester City, Vincent Kompany wanted to do something with purpose. For the entire year, he dedicated his time away from the pitch to raise funds for one of Manchester’s most prevalent issues, homelessness.
Working with Vincent’s team, Manchester City, and Andy Burnham, Roland Dransfield was tasked to create and deliver a communications and social media campaign to promote Tackle4MCR, the charitable arm of Vincent Kompany’s testimonial year. Social and press were used to drive awareness of the homeless problem in Manchester, sell tickets to the testimonial match, and to bring on board corporate sponsorhips and further fundraising.
Campaign Delivery
Roland Dransfield worked along side Andy Burnham’s office and Manchester City to deliver a series of events and fundraising campaigns in the run up to the testimonial match. This included a gala dinner, a regional fundraising campaign with Hits Radio, and various corporate partner events.
