The footage shows for the first time how No.1 Spinningfields will fit into the existing Spinningfield’s skyline to become one of the city’s flagship structures.
For developers, Allied London, the owners and creators of Manchester’s leading Spinningfields district, No.1 Spinningfields is the last piece of the award-winning masterplan.
Over 19 floors, No.1 Spinningfields will provide the highest specification office and amenity space in Manchester. Sitting alongside a chic business and meeting lounge will be a world-class rooftop restaurant and terrace, by operators D&D boasting stunning panoramic views across the city.
The footage not only captures for the first time how much progress has already been made on the site which overlooks Quay Street, but shows the sheer scale and height of the £73m building, which will be home to tenants including, global law firm Squire Patton Boggs and professional services network, PwC.
Chris Reay, Spinningfields Estate Director at Allied London, said: “Designed using the highest architectural principles, No. 1 Spinningfields is a beautiful and sustainable office development which encapsulates our 16 years of work at Spinningfields in a truly exquisite environment.
“Tenants at No.1 Spinningfields will have the ultimate opportunity to make their company HQ within Spinningfields.
“We’re delighted to have already signed some pioneering and influential businesses to No.1 Spinningfields including PWC and Squire Patton Boggs ahead of the launch of our new marketing suite at the end of this month.”
Complimented by some of the finest food, drink, retail and leisure offerings, No.1 Spinningfields will boast upscale restaurants and flexible event spaces for a range of corporate, business and private events.
The No.1 Spinningfields project will continue to gather pace over the coming weeks as major Vierendeel columns arrive. The columns will be hoisted into place to form the six storey cantilever on Byrom Street at each side of the central bay.
Tony Grindrod, Construction Director at BAM, said: “BAM’s construction of No.1 Spinningfields has moved quickly with the structural steel frame progressing to level seven on the east side of the building and level five on the west side.
“During late July we will begin work on the façade, starting on level one and progressing upwards at a rate of one floor every two weeks.”
The new Allied London marketing suite which showcases the exceptional No.1 Spinningfields offering will be opening at the end of June.
