BILFINGER GVA’s Manchester offices team has secured Henry Boot Developments as a new tenant for 26 Cross Street on behalf of the building’s owner, Catalyst Capital.
The 2,161 sq ft office space, on the eighth floor of this prestigious building, has been taken by the specialist property development arm of the Henry Boot Group on a five-year lease.
This is the second letting to be confirmed in the iconic 1930s’ building following a £3 million comprehensive refurbishment to provide Grade A boutique-style office space with state-of-the-art suites. A further floor is under offer, with strong interest in the remaining floors.
Located in one of Manchester’s most historic and lively streets and within the St Anne’s Square conservation area, the eight-storey 21,500 sq ft building has offices available to let, ranging in size from 2,000 sq ft to 2,800 sq ft.
Chris Cheap, Bilfinger GVA Manchester’s Senior Director, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Henry Boot Developments to 26 Cross Street.
“Its commitment to the building is testament to what Catalyst Capital and its advisers set out to provide when they commenced refurbishment, which was to create a unique boutique-style offer within the heart of the city at an affordable rental level.
“This letting follows on swiftly from Toscafund taking the sixth floor, and we are confident that this momentum will continue due to the current level of interest”.
Sarah Cooper, Portfolio Manager, Catalyst Capital, said: “26 Cross Street offers something special for occupiers seeking offices of distinction within the prime office core. The level of demand we are encountering certainly reflects this”.
In addition to Bilfinger GVA, OBI are the joint letting agents for 26 Cross Street.
