Manchester’s highest restaurant has just celebrated its first birthday – and said thank you to the city with an exclusive get-together on its iconic roof terrace.

20 Stories opened on the top floor of the No1 Spinningfields building with a lavish launch party on February 28th 2018, on the coldest night in Manchester in a decade.

Now, a full 12 months later, D&D London’s showpiece Manchester venue is very much part of the fabric of the city – and has become celebrated for its stunning restaurant menu as well as its open-air terrace and the best views in the city.

On Thursday night this week, the management team at the acclaimed restaurant welcomed guests to commemorate the restaurant’s 1st birthday – and celebrate its role at the vanguard of Manchester’s new foodie revolution.

Becky Wilkes, Sales and Marketing Manager of 20 Stories said: “It’s been an incredible first year for 20 Stories – the restaurant has exceeded all expectations in terms of the number of diners who have passed through our doors and the response of the city to our unrivalled roof top bar terrace.

“With a new head chef in place and changes to the menu afoot, we expect the next 12 months to be equally exciting. 20 Stories has cemented its place in the heart of this fantastic city and we’re delighted to welcome some of our guests and friends to help celebrate this fact with us on our first birthday this week.”

It has indeed been a remarkable year for 20 Stories.

In its first 12 months, 20 Stories has accounted for 114,265 meals served. It has seen customers order a huge 22,117 steaks from its acclaimed restaurant.

Then there is the not so small matter of 12,631 ‘20 Stories’ signature cocktails enjoyed on its famous terrace. As well as 97,582 pints of Peroni beer, 97,203 gin & tonics plus 21,609 glasses of its renowned Manchester Tart Punch Cocktail.

In total 20 Stories has sold 161,503 cocktails in its first year plus 35,157 bottles of Champagne and Sparkling Wine.

The restaurant has also organically grown its social media with over 45,500 followers signing up to its Instagram feed, 15,500 Facebook fans and 6,000 Twitter followers – a total of 67,000 social media followers across all social platforms.
