EAST Coast Concepts, owners of the Neighbourhood bar and restaurant brand, has launched a music agency as it reinforces commitment to live music ahead of the launch of its Liverpool site.
The group will employ a roster of ten musical acts that will be managed by UK singer/songwriter Dean Mac and will perform across both Neighbourhood venues in Manchester and Liverpool along with all Neighbourhood openings going forward. With over a decade of singing experience and a LIPA qualification under his belt, Dean gained international recognition as a world-class dancer by training in LA and Paris with choreographers that have worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown.
Neighbourhood Brand Director Ashley Williams said: “We have a real focus on live music, and we’re looking to develop fresh talent to join our team and service our venues across the North West. Our search began last week in Liverpool with open auditions and we were really pleased with the initial response. We found some exceptional talent and this is something we look forward to developing further.
“Liverpool will be our new flagship site, and we’ll be doing things that we don’t in other venues. The city is well known for producing some of the finest musical talent and we wanted to respect this.”
Dean Mac said: “I’ve been working with Ashley and the Neighbourhood team in Manchester since it’s relaunch in June to refresh the entertainment synonymous with the brand. No other brand one has created a vibe quite like they have.
“This is a brilliant opportunity to bring something unique to the leisure industry. We will be combining an eclectic mix of acts that will interlink all aspects of entertainment including; visuals, dance, music and performance.”
The group has also announced British DJ, record producer, remixer and radio presenter Anton Powers will join the team in Liverpool. A member of UK-based production team Cahill, he is best known for his number #1 collaboration with Philip George, Alone No More. Anton will provide the soundtrack to the venue when it opens its doors November 7 and will hold a residency at the venue every Saturday from 10-2am.
Brand Director Ashley added: “Having Anton associated with the Neighbourhood brand is a real coup for us. It’s the ideal fit. He’s a local talent, understands the market and will draw the crowds I’m sure.”
Neighbourhood restaurant and bar will open to the public on Castle St November 7.
