Account Manager

Permanent, Full Time

The Account Manager is a key member of the Roland Dransfield team working on and managing a portfolio of B2B and B2C clients. They will support the Account Director with the management of major clients, whilst leading and delivering on other accounts independently. Proficient in all modern-day PR skills, the Account Manager will be able to think creatively and work with the wider team to create and deliver compelling content campaigns for the most traditional of industries. They will be filled with energy and enthusiasm and be skilled at building rapport with the clients whose accounts they manage. A real team player, they will be highly organised, confident and meticulous in all aspects of client delivery and account management.

Your role will include the following

  • Plan and implement creative, compelling and commercial campaigns
  • Develop and lead PR strategies from formulation through to execution aligning them with the client’s key business objectives
  • Ensure pro-active service and that accounts are serviced to the correct level
  • Combine creativity with knowledge of the media to recognise media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad media spectrum
  • Ability to write “journalist quality” press releases
  • Assist in the reporting, analysis and evaluation of PR campaigns
  • Liaise with the client and act as key point of contact in support of senior consultants
  • Sell ideas, promotions and features to clients and media
  • Delegate to junior members of the team effectively
  • Actively participate in new business development including proposal writing
  • Identify new business opportunities
  • Maintain agreed client activity and budgets and alert the Account Director to any budget overspend/underspend
  • Lead on accounts and monitor client satisfaction levels
  • Represent Roland Dransfield at events

Account Executive

Permanent, Full Time

You must have good verbal and written communication skills and take an active interest in the press, and all social media platforms. You will need to be enthusiastic, determined, supportive, flexible, and, within reason, be prepared to work additional hours / attend events outside of standard working hours as required.  The role involves providing support to the wider team, as well as starting to engage directly with clients. You should proactively seek and suggest solutions to problems that arise.  You will be responsible for the team’s client administration – including media monitoring and evaluation, organising events, managing suppliers and reporting as well as social media delivery.

Your role will include the following

  • Writing agendas, contact reports, press releases, features and commentary articles, ensuring a fast turnaround of all work
  • Social Media: Scheduling social media posts for clients and RD
  • Media Liaison – liaising with client media contacts at key publications and their readership profiles
  • Using Gorkana to its fullest potential for research, forward features, identifying media requests and liaising with journalist contacts.
  • Media Monitoring: Reading the relevant and specialist publications as appropriate, developing a thorough understanding of target publication and having an awareness of the opportunities and any items of interest to our clients
  • Industry Events and Networking: Keep the company’s networking and events schedule up to date, identifying new opportunities and flagging to the appropriate clients / handlers
  • Media Evaluation: Monitoring and tracking press coverage
  • Client Liaison: Establishing and maintaining professional and effective relationship with client(s) and be confident to join in with meetings.
  • Event Management: Assisting in the organisation of exhibitions, photocalls and other events, as well as managing RSVPs, badge creation and management, and managing guest reception desk at events
  • Answering the phone and managing press ring-rounds.
